Bali Targets 4 Million Foreign Tourists in 2015

Province of Bali is targeting 4 million visitors (tourists) by 2015. This target is increased by about 500 thousand from 2014 that only 3.5 million tourist arrivals.

"In 2015, at least we have to reach 4 million tourists visit. Approximately 500 thousand targeted to increase from this year. Now (2014) the targets we only 3.5 million alone, "said Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Anak Agung Gede Putra Yuniartha in Denpasar, Tuesday (12/16/2014).

Gede Yuniartha optimistic with a targeted rate. Various kinds of promotion is still being done in collaboration with the program launched by the central government. Moreover, the visa waiver applied to five countries such as Australia, Japan, China, South Korea and Russia, will help boost the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali.

"It must pass the target, I'm optimistic it. Various promotions conducted either through IT, promotion directly also still do. Moreover, there is the implementation of the five countries visa-free, it also will help increase, "he said.

Bali Provincial Tourism Office has a rural tourism development program with a budget of USD 5 billion in 2015. This budget is not much different from the 2014 budget of only $ 4 billion more. The budget for the development of rural tourism includes also for promotional costs reach $ 1 billion. In 2015, Bali will target approximately 100 villages that had nurtured and developed.
